出漁の日

作家のことば

　日本海の港で出港の準備に活気づく漁師達の姿があった。
　網を高くクレーンで吊り上げ、船に積む瞬間、まるで自分が捕えられるような迫力に驚く。
　また、潮の香りに海鳥も集まり、大漁を願っているような光景であった。

Fishermen were bustling about in a port on the Sea of Japan, getting ready to leave port.
At the moment the nets were hoisted high by cranes and loaded onto the boats, I was amazed at the power of the scene, as if I were being caught myself.
The scent of the tide also attracted sea birds, which seemed to be hoping for a big catch.
