夏の終わりに

作家のことば

　夏も深まったある日の夕暮れ時、雲の内側が残光に照らされ茜色に染まる美しい光景の中に佇んでいると急にザワザワという葉音とともに何処からともなく強い風があたりを渡りはじめ、大きな葉はひるがえり、山ぶどうのつるが外れて風に煽られ草花が波打つようにさざめく、そのような一日の終わりの情景です。

One day at dusk in deep summer, as I was standing amidst a beautiful scene where the inside of the clouds were tinged with madder red by the afterglow, suddenly a strong wind began to blow from nowhere with the sound of rustling leaves, and large leaves began to flutter, and the vines of the mountain grapes came loose and the flowers rippled in the wind. This is the scene at the end of the day.
