作家のことば

　身近な所、特に県内は稲作の地です。最近は米産地で生活をし、今さらですが強く感動して、写生をしてみました。米作りの歴史や文化の永さに、また日本人のかかわりに思い、とても重さを感じ、制作にかかりました。私なりに創作してみました。

The places around us, especially in the prefecture, are rice-growing areas. Recently, I have been living in a rice-producing area, and I was strongly moved by it, even after all this time, so I decided to make a sketch of it. I was deeply moved by the long history and culture of rice cultivation and the involvement of the Japanese people, and I started to create this work. I tried to create it in my own way.
