作家のことば

　「あわい」とは物と物の間のことです。空と樹が接する空間、季節で言えば、冬と春の境目。現実と虚構の狭間など、二つの物をはっきりと区別しないでなんとはなしに双方の性質を持つこと。その有りように魅かれ題材としました。

Awai is the space between things. It is the space where the sky meets the trees, or in terms of seasons, the border between winter and spring. It is the space between reality and fiction, where two things are not clearly distinguished but have the characteristics of both. I was attracted to this way of being and chose it as the subject of this work.
