虫愛づる

作家のことば

　泥まみれになりながら親しんだ虫たち。子供の頃は宝物に見えていたのに、いつからか疎遠な存在に。失いつつある「虫愛づる心」を思い、描いてみた。

Insects I became familiar with while covered in mud. Insects, which seemed like treasures when I was a child, have somehow become distant from me. I painted this picture thinking of the "insect-loving heart" that I am losing.
