残闕

　今年に入ってからの制作では、表現主題から叙情性をやや薄め、造形的な構成自体をテーマの中心にすることを試みております。題名の「残闕」とは、本来の形態ではなく不完全なものとなった状態のことです。本作では意図的に欠けた部分をつくるなどして、量感と動勢について思索しながら粘土と向き合ってみました。

In my work since the beginning of this year, I have attempted to somewhat diminish lyricism from the expressive subject matter and to make the figurative composition itself the central theme. The title of the work, "Zankeku," refers to the state of being incomplete, not to the original form. In this work, I intentionally created a missing part and faced the clay while contemplating the sense of volume and momentum.
