作家のことば

　シルクロードに点在する田舎町を訪れた時に、インフラ整備もあまり整っていない中、夜になると街灯もなく宿の外は真っ暗闇でした。ただ、目が慣れてくると月明かりがとても印象的で、月からの一方向からしか明かりが来ない事で、自分の影がとても印象的だった事を思い出しながら制作しました。

When I visited the countryside towns scattered along the Silk Road, with little infrastructure in place, there were no streetlights at night and it was pitch black outside the inn. However, as my eyes became accustomed to the darkness, the moonlight was very impressive, and I created this work, remembering that my shadow was very impressive because the light came from only one direction, from the moon.
