　日展の作品は金紙に書くことをモットーにしておりました。
　しかし金紙に書いてみると、漢字がびびって落ちつかない。紙に書いてみるとしっくりと安定してくる。何故か？　やはり歳のせいかと自答する。
　「金紙の使用は中止しようかな」─独言─

I had made it my motto to write works for the Nitten exhibition on gold paper.
However, when I tried to write on gold paper, the Chinese characters were scared and did not calm down.

But when I try to write on gold paper, the kanji are not calm and comfortable.

I was not sure if this was due to age or not.　

"I think it is because of my age," he said.
"I think I should stop using gold paper," he said to himself.
