作家のことば

　北海道美瑛に十年くらい前に取材に行きました。
　晴れた日に急に黒い雲で光を隠すようになり、雪が降ってきた。長い間、描けなかった。急にその瞬間を描きたいと思い、今回制作しました。
　あの静かな冷たい空気を描けたでしょうか。

I went for a study trip to Biei, Hokkaido, about ten years ago.
On a clear day, black clouds suddenly obscured the light, and snow began to fall. For a long time, I couldn't paint it. I suddenly felt the urge to capture that moment, so I created this work.
I wonder if I was able to capture that quiet, cold air.
