色葉散る

作家のことば

　取材地は琵琶湖北辺、紅葉の名所の鶏足寺です。
　変化のある地形に惹かれ、ここ数年写生に訪れています。
　この寺の紅葉もさることながら、近辺の胡宮神社の落葉が絨毯を敷き詰めたような鮮やかな赤色で、私の技量では赤の表現が難しく少し躊躇したのですが、葉の色はここを参考にしました。

The location for this study trip was Keisoku-ji Temple, a famous spot for autumn foliage on the northern side of Lake Biwa.
I have been visiting to sketch for the past few years, drawn to the varied terrain.
While the autumn colors of this temple are magnificent, the fallen leaves at the nearby Komiya Shrine covered the ground in a vivid red, like a carpet. The expression of red was difficult for my skill level, and I hesitated a bit, but I used the color of those leaves as a reference.
