　熊野古道の杉木立（老大木）に挟まれた石段を一歩一歩と上っていきます。ふと視線を足元から杉木立に上げると白い縦の光の筋が眩いばかりに輝き、淡い碧色に感じられる霧が、その白い筋を右から左へ横切ってゆっくり流れていきます。

I ascend the stone steps nestled between the cedar groves (ancient trees) of the Kumano Kodo, one step at a time. When I glance up from my feet to the cedar grove, streaks of white, vertical light shine dazzlingly, and a pale azure mist slowly flows across those white streaks from right to left.
