作家のことば

　今年は世界バラ会議福山大会が開催され、ばら公園はその中心的な存在となって賑わった。ここは私の長年のモチーフである。
　この度は園のアーチ付近の一隅を描いた。初夏の陽光を受けて輝くばらの花たちが広がるなか、小さく揺れる青いあやめが印象的だった。

This year, the World Rose Convention Fukuyama was held, and Rose Park became its central focus, bustling with activity. This has been a long-time motif for me.
This time, I painted a corner near the arch in the park. The small, swaying blue irises were impressive amidst the spreading rose blossoms, glittering in the early summer sunlight.
