北穂高南峰望む

作家のことば

　これは、長野県の奥上高地（八月梅雨明け）涸沢カールから望む北穂高南峰です。この優美なカールを擁する穂高連峰は日本アルプスを代表する景観を誇り、かねてより私の憧れの地です。時折聞こえる小鳥のさえずりと風の音、高原の空気と雲の切れ目からの陽ざしを感じて頂ければ幸いです。

This is the South Peak of Mount Hotaka, viewed from Karasawa Cirque in Oku-Kamikochi, Nagano Prefecture (after the end of the rainy season in August).
The Hotaka mountain range, which features this elegant cirque, boasts a landscape representative of the Japanese Alps and has long been a place of aspiration for me.
I would be happy if you could feel the occasional chirping of small birds, the sound of the wind, the air of the plateau, and the sunlight filtering through the gaps in the clouds.
