王と王妃の夜

作家のことば

　実際には存在しない架空の国の女性（王女）がモデルです。
　険しい渓谷を背景に月と星空を配し、夜のイメージを表現しました。
　異国風の中東製の“水差し”や“王と王妃の彫刻”を象徴的に並べ、花言葉で「純粋」「無垢」「威厳」の意味を持つ“百合の花”を人物とともに配置し演出を試みています。
　女性は白いドレスを身に纏い、光るクリスタルボールを手に自分の未来を占っているかのような状況を描きました。
　作品を観て頂く方に幻想的な雰囲気を感じて貰えればと思います。

The model is a woman (a princess) from a fictional country that does not actually exist.
I expressed a night image by placing the moon and a starry sky against the backdrop of a steep valley.
I symbolically arranged exotic Middle Eastern "pitchers" and "sculptures of the king and queen," and attempted to create a dramatic scene by placing a "lily flower," which means "purity," "innocence," and "dignity" in the language of flowers, alongside the figure.
I painted a situation where the woman, clad in a white dress and holding a glowing crystal ball, seems to be foretelling her own future.
I hope viewers
of the work will feel a fantastical atmosphere.
