山陰の日本海に面した小さな集落に取材した。夏の日差しの中、眼下に見える町並みから階段を登りゆく人がいる。その風景を昔見た、感じたことがある情景として捉えるとともに、その歩みに人生を重ね描いた。

I researched a small village facing the Sea of Japan in the San'in region.
Under the summer sunlight, a person is climbing the stairs from the townscape visible below.
I captured this scene as one I had seen and felt in the past, while also overlaying the idea of life's journey onto their steps.
