作家のことば

　立像裸婦、体を大きく捩る形を計画した。捩れの構成は難しく、苦労した。らせん形の上昇する形態をイメージして取り組んだが、時間ばかりかかり、暑い夏、苦闘であった。今回は着色せず、石膏の素材が感じられるよう白を強調した。

I planned a standing female nude with a severely twisted pose. The composition of the twist was difficult, and I struggled with it. I worked with the image of a spiraling, ascending form, but it was a struggle in the hot summer, taking a lot of time. This time, I emphasized the white to allow the material of the plaster to be felt, without adding color.
