作家のことば

　孫をモデルにして、成長の記録のように彫刻を制作してきました。
　小学校三年生になると色々と体験をしたり、また急に大きくなったように感じられます。
　土曜日に泊まりにきた帰りには必ずトランプゲームをやっていきます。
　私がトランプで孫に勝てるのはババぬきだけです。

I have been creating sculptures with my grandchild as the model, like a record of her growth. When she turned third grade in elementary school, she started experiencing many things and also seems to have suddenly grown bigger. She always plays a card game before going home after staying over on a Saturday. The only card game I can beat my grandchild at is Old Maid.
