作家のことば

　塑造による等身大の男性坐像で、石膏への材質転換の後、石膏直付けを繰り返し制作しました。作品は、普段私が大学で出会う学生たちをイメージしたものです。漠とした状況の中でも、夢や希望、時に不安を抱きながら、まっすぐな眼差しで次のステージを模索しているような若者の姿を表現したつもりです。

This is a life-size male seated figure created through modeling, with repeated applications of plaster directly onto the surface after material conversion to plaster. The work is inspired by the students I meet at the university every day. I intended to express the figure of a young person who, even in vague circumstances, harbors dreams, hopes, and sometimes anxiety, yet searches for the next stage with a straightforward gaze.
