作家のことば

　パヴァーヌとは、辞書にフランス宮廷舞曲、クジャクが羽を広げたような、等とある。作曲家ラヴェルの同名の二曲から着想して、スカートを広げる女性の手の位置の僅かな違いで変化するオーラ（思い浮かぶ曲）に驚きながら、この二曲のイメージによりふさわしいポーズで静謐・華麗・郷愁・気品・音の余韻等を追求してみた。

Pavane is described in the dictionary as a French court dance, like a peacock spreading its tail, etc. Inspired by two pieces by Ravel with the same name, I was surprised by the changing aura (the music that came to mind) caused by a slight difference in the position of the woman's hands as she spreads her skirt, and I attempted to pursue serenity, splendor, nostalgia, elegance, and the lingering resonance of sound in a pose more suitable for the image of these two pieces.
