鈴の音

作家のことば

　山の頂上で、巫女舞に偶然にも遭遇しました。舞と「鈴の音」はとても美しく、辺りを清めていくように思いました。
　これまで熊よけの鈴として耳にしていた鈴の音(おと)が、神聖な響きに感じるようになりました。
　今回の作品は、少女に「鈴の音」の清らかなイメージを重ね合わせて制作してみました。

I accidentally encountered a miko (shrine maiden) dance at the mountaintop. The dance and the sound of the "bells" were so beautiful; I felt they were purifying the area. The sound of bells, which I had previously only heard as a bear-deterrent, began to feel like a sacred resonance. In this work, I tried to superimpose the pure image of the "bells' sound" onto the girl.
