みすずかる

作家のことば

　「みすずかる」は、自然豊かな信濃の国を表す言葉です。思いを巡らせながら、北アルプスの山々を眺める女性をイメージしました。
　私は、生きる、感動、畏怖、憧れ等信濃の自然に育まれ、そして彫刻の道に導かれてきたように思います。
　今年度は安曇野展が開催されます。この作品が郷里の美術館に置かれることを大変嬉しく思います。

Misuzukaru is a word that represents Shinano Province, rich in nature. I envisioned a woman gazing at the Northern Alps while letting her thoughts wander. I feel that I have been nurtured by the nature of Shinano—experiencing life, emotion, awe, and longing—and then guided to the path of sculpture. The Azumino Exhibition will be held this year. I am very happy that this work will be placed in the museum of my hometown.
