～戯曲マクベスより～女神ヘカティ

作家のことば

　今回はシェイクスピアの戯曲マクベスに登場する女神へカティをモチーフにし、マクベスと勝手な取り引きをした三人の魔女に対し静かに怒り罵る場面を想像して形にした。犬はへカティのアトリビュート（それが持つ象徴）の一つである。

This time, I took the goddess Hecate, who appears in Shakespeare's play Macbeth, as my motif, and gave form to my imagination of the scene where she quietly rages and scolds the three witches who made an arbitrary deal with Macbeth. The dog is one of Hecate's attributes (symbols she possesses).
