事に当る時、雑念も無く己を信じ只ひたすら立つ無念無想の姿、「言は康行は難く」中々出来るものではない。柔の道を歩み始めた少女の柔道着姿で、柔道の立ち形の一つであります自然体を借り、人の在り様の自然体を見つめました。

The state of munen musō (no thought, no reflection)—believing in oneself and simply standing steadfastly without distracting thoughts when facing a task—is something that is "easy to say but hard to do." I used the figure of a girl in a judo uniform who has just started the path of judo, borrowing the Shizentai (natural posture), one of the standing forms in judo, to contemplate the natural posture of human existence.
