作家のことば

　大海原を悠々と群れをなし、また互いに素敵に会話をしているように遊び泳ぐ姿に常に感動をしている。彼らがもし飛び立つことが出来たならばと考えていた。ある時、昇華したらどんなだろうと、スケッチを何枚か画いていた。その中の一枚を立体に置き換えた。希望の世界に昇り立ってもらいたい。そんな思いで制作した。

I am always moved by the sight of dolphins swimming gracefully in schools across the open sea, playing as if wonderfully conversing with each other. I had wondered what it would be like if they could fly. One day, I sketched several images imagining how they would look if they ascended (sublimated). I transformed one of those sketches into a three-dimensional form. I created this piece with the wish that they would ascend and stand in a world of hope.
