作家のことば

　天の恵み地の恵み。この地球（海に山に土の中）に棲む数多の生き物は、その中で何十億世代にも渡り、進化をしながら存在し続けてきた。私たち人類は、どの民族でも神々の世界の歴史の中で天と地を結ぶ象徴的なものとして鳥がある。
　本作は木を彫り、麻布を貼り、漆を塗り重ね、色漆の彩色、金粉による蒔絵で創り上げた。

The grace of Heaven and the grace of Earth. The countless living beings inhabiting this planet (in the sea, on the mountains, and in the soil) have continued to exist through billions of generations of evolution. In the history of the gods, for every human civilization, the bird is a symbolic entity that connects Heaven and Earth.
This work was created by carving wood, applying linen cloth, layering lacquer, coloring with colored lacquer, and finishing with *makie* (sprinkling gold powder).
