宙船

作家のことば

　私の中の少年が、いまも夜空を見上げている。現在の夜空はずいぶん明るくなってしまったが、私が私の中に見る夜空は、いまだ漆黒の空と満天の星空である。そして私はかつての少年が夜空の先に夢想した、宇宙へ漕ぎ出す船をゆったりと形にする。それを私は宙船と呼んでいる。

The boy within me is still looking up at the night sky. Although the actual night sky has become quite bright, the night sky I see within me is still a jet-black sky full of stars. And I slowly shape the ship that the boy once dreamed of sailing out to the cosmos, beyond the night sky. I call it the *Sora-bune* (Sky Ship).
