作家のことば

　「大地のいろ、いのちのかたち」をテーマに制作しています。主に、有機的なかたちをモチーフに陶土の持つ可塑性を生かして自由に造形しています。
　釉は、古薩摩に学び、鹿児島の土を原料に創りだした私独自の鮫肌釉です。
　個性的な釉調と柔らかみのあるかたちが相まって現代的な表現になるよう工夫しております。

I am creating under the theme of "Colors of the Earth, Forms of Life." I mainly use organic forms as motifs, freely shaping them by utilizing the plasticity of the clay.
The glaze is my original *samehada-yu* (shark-skin glaze), developed by studying old Satsuma ware and using local Kagoshima soil as a raw material.
I strive for a modern expression that harmonizes the unique glaze texture with the soft form.
