作家のことば

　本友禅染による現代的で新しい表現の展開を追求しています。
　今回は音楽家でピアニストのジョージ・ウィンストンのピアノ曲「DECEMBER」から受けたイメージを、自分が体験してきた自然環境をもとに表現しました。
　本友禅染と絞り染を併用することで、より心象的な世界が画面から伝わるように新しい試みをしました。

I am pursuing the development of a modern and new expression through *hon-yūzen* (traditional Yuzen dyeing).
This time, I expressed the image received from the pianist George Winston's piano piece "DECEMBER," based on my own experienced natural environment.
I made a new attempt to convey a more internal, psychological world through the combination of *hon-yūzen* and *shibori-zome* (tie-dyeing).
