Rhyton―雫のゆくえ

作家のことば

　Rhyton（リュトン）とは『流れ』を意味し、古代より神々（自然）からの恵みを分け与えるために用いられた注器である。雨上がりの早朝に、植物の葉の上にある雫の流れを鍛金技法で銀の光沢感を生かしながら表現した。目には映らない恵みとしてのしずくが、器を通して人々にもたらすものは何かを想像していただきたい。

*Rhyton* (リュトン) means "flow" and is a pouring vessel used since ancient times to share blessings from the gods (nature). I used the *tankin* (metal hammering) technique to express the flow of a drop of water on a plant leaf in the early morning after the rain, utilizing the luster of silver. I want viewers to imagine what the invisible blessing of the water drop brings to people through the vessel.
