作家のことば

　時が来て還るとき立ちよる神聖な場所、杜。そこまでの道のり、精魂を守り寄り添っていく使者。
　ニャウ・ヨレンバに偶然出会い、そのフォルムに惹かれて自身の想いを重ね表現しました。
　銅板を打ち出し成形後に七宝釉薬を焼成。箔を施し全体的に描き割り技法を用いる。他ステンレスを使用。

The *Mori* (grove/shrine) is a sacred place where one stops when the time comes to return. The messenger guards and accompanies the spirit on the way there.
I accidentally encountered the *Nyau Yoreba* mask, was drawn to its form, and superimposed my own feelings to express it.
Copper sheet was hammered and shaped, then fired with enamel glaze. Foil was applied, and the *kakiwari* (cutting/incising) technique was used over the whole. Stainless steel was also used.
