作家のことば

　記憶が存在しなければ作品は作る事ができません。ホンジュラス・コパン遺跡には石像が林立し、マヤ文字が浮彫で時代の記憶を残しています。マヤと自分の記憶をリンクさせ、ミステリアスに仕上げました。
　素材は木、漆、麻布、地の粉、砥の粉、銀板、アルミ板、錫粉。

Without memory, one cannot create a work. Stone statues stand in a forest at the Copan ruins in Honduras, and Maya script is embossed, preserving the memory of the era. I linked the Maya and my own memory to create a mysterious finish.
Materials include wood, lacquer, linen cloth, *jinoko* (diatomaceous earth powder), *tonoko* (polishing powder), silver sheet, aluminum sheet, and tin powder.
