波と舟

作家のことば

　私は小舟で海に出るのが好きだ。小舟ですから波間に入ることもしばしば。しかしこの波との一体感が小舟の魅力。
　そんな思いを私の長年のテーマである「しなやかなる鐵」と結びつけて造形を試みた。

I like going out to sea in a small boat. Since it's a small boat, it often enters the wave troughs. However, this sense of unity with the waves is the charm of a small boat.
I tried to sculpt this feeling by connecting it with my long-time theme, "Supple Iron."
