　芋などの塊茎植物や塊根植物は、春になると前の年に実った塊の種芋から新たな発芽が始まる。特に、新芽が出始めた時の様は、命が繰り返される尊さと喜びだけでなく、大きさに大小のコントラストがあり造形的にも魅力的である。そんな場面を、漆の素材感を活かしながら、立体造形として表現した。

Tuberous and root-tuber plants, such as potatoes and yams, begin new sprouts from the previous year's tuber in the spring. Especially when the new shoots emerge, they are not only beautiful for the preciousness and joy of life's repetition, but also sculpturally attractive due to the contrast between large and small sizes. I expressed such a scene as a three-dimensional sculpture, utilizing the material texture of lacquer.
