本作品「groping」は、鍛金技法である変形絞り技法と箆(へら)絞り技法を用いて造形表現した作品である。「groping」とは英語で「手探り」を意味する言葉である。その回転体特有な造形と人形形態で「手探り」する様を表現した金属造形作である。

This work, "groping," is a metal sculpture that expresses form using the *henkei shibori* (deformation drawing) and *hera shibori* (spinning/smoothing) metal hammering techniques. "Groping" means "to feel one's way" in English. It is a metal sculpture expressing the act of "groping" through its unique rotational form and doll-like figure.
