作家のことば

　様々な事象の移り変わるある一瞬というものに興味があり、それを形にしたいという動機から作品作りを始めました。本作は身近な風景を題材として、移ろいゆくひと時を型染で制作しました。型特有の輪郭、染料の透明感や彩度などに気を使い、二枚型で表現できるよう工夫しました。

I am interested in a momentary instant within the transition of various phenomena, and the desire to give it form motivated me to start creating works. This piece takes a familiar landscape as its subject and expresses a fleeting moment using stencil dyeing (*katazome*). I paid attention to the unique contours of the stencil, the transparency and saturation of the dyes, and engineered the piece to be expressed using two stencils.
