作家のことば

　万葉集の、古今に通じる有名な和歌「子等を思ふ歌」を書きました。余白や墨色の妙、行と行の響き合いなどを大切にしつつ、大らかで味わい深く書きたいと願いながら推敲を重ね書き込みましたが、最後は心をほどき、「振りかぶる」思いで筆を持ちました。

I wrote the famous *waka* poem "Song Thinking of My Children" from the *Manyoshu*, which resonates across all ages. While valuing the open space (*yohaku*), the nuance of the ink tone, and the resonance between lines, I repeatedly drafted and wrote with the desire to write it generously and profoundly, but in the end, I cleared my mind and held the brush with a "swinging back" intention.
