作家のことば

　無理と無駄のない線と字形。じっくりと筆を運んで落ち着いた深い感じ。そのうえで、古典の持つ高い品格を得たいと欲張っている。そのための筆の扱いや墨の扱いには、日ごろから十分な準備を繰り返しているつもりである。
　制作時にはさまざまな願いや取り組みを一切忘れてと始めるのだが、これはなかなか難しい。

Lines and character forms that are free of force and waste. A slow, deliberate movement of the brush creates a calm and deep feeling. On top of that, I am greedy to attain the high dignity inherent in the classics. For this, I believe I have continually practiced sufficient preparation in handling both the brush and the ink.
I begin the creation process attempting to forget all wishes and efforts, but this is quite difficult.
