赤壁賦一節

作家のことば

　宋の蘇東坡の名賦「赤壁賦」の一節を篆書体で書いた作品です。象形要素をもつ青銅器の銘文（金文）のスタイルを借り、金文としては存在しない文字も、そのスタイルを想定して揮毫しました。全十二字の気脈の貫通を求めて、一気呵成に筆を運びました。筆が破綻している部分にも、自分らしさがあらわれていればと思います。

This work inscribes a passage from Su Dongpo's famous *Fu* (prose poem), "*Chibi Fu*" (Ode to the Red Cliff), in the seal script (*tensho*) style. Borrowing the style of bronze inscriptions (*kinbun*), which contain pictographic elements, I inscribed even characters that do not exist in *kinbun* by assuming that style. I moved the brush in a single sweep, seeking the penetration of energy (*kimyaku*) through all twelve characters. I hope that the parts where the brush failed still reveal my own individuality.
