千慮無惑

作家のことば

　従来日展作品は、多字数で挑戦してまいりました。今年は心境の変化と申しましょうか、Ｄサイズで「千慮無惑」四文字の大字を老体に鞭打ち、布置の造形に重きを置き、紙面に筆先をつっ込んで意気軒昂な迫力ある作品を願って制作しました。

Traditionally, I have challenged the Nitten exhibition with works containing many characters. This year, perhaps due to a change in my state of mind, I pushed my aged body to create a D-size piece with the four large characters "千慮無惑" (*Senryo Muwaku*, One thousand thoughts without doubt), placing importance on the aesthetic arrangement (*fuchi*) and plunging the brush into the paper surface with the wish for an energetic and powerful work.
