謝宣城の詩

作家のことば

　謝朓（四六四～四九九）の詩。作品全体では墨量による重厚感を第一とした。強烈な筆意の基に文字の大小、強弱、緩急、潤渇等を工夫したつもり。墨色と墨量の按排、それによっての行間美、さらには作品が醸す気満、生動感をも求めたが、理想には程遠い作での出品になってしまった。

A poem by Xie Tiao (464–499). In the overall work, the priority was the sense of weight created by the ink volume. I intended to devise the character size, strength/weakness, speed/slowness, wetness/dryness (*junkatsu*), etc., based on an intense brush intention. I sought the arrangement of ink tone and volume, the beauty of the space between lines, and the overflowing vitality (*kiman*) and vivid expression (*seidōkan*) that the work conveys, but the submission turned out far from my ideal.
