小坂奇石先生詩

作家のことば

　師である小坂奇石先生の漢詩を書かせていただいた。各文字に太細や大小、長短の変化をつけて、行間に意を払った。また縦への流れや行の動きを意識して、文字間に留意した。さらに、一作の中に複数の線質を表現したいと思い、運筆の遅速や抑揚を試みた。

I inscribed a Chinese poem by my teacher, Kiseki Kosaka. I varied the characters in thickness/thinness, size/smallness, and length/shortness, and paid attention to the space between the lines. I also considered the vertical flow and the movement of the lines, taking care with the space between characters. Furthermore, I attempted to express multiple line qualities within a single piece, trying variations in the speed and modulation of the brush movement.
