作家のことば

　簡素化された文字の「かな」でしか表現できないスケールの大きさ、力強さを意識して作品制作に取り組みました。そして「かな」らしい流麗さと柔らかさを織り交ぜてみました。また文字の中の空間、行と行との響き合いなど、文字を書かない所の「白」の美しい作品になるよう心掛けました。

I focused on creating a work with a sense of scale and power that can only be expressed by the simplified characters of *kana*. I also incorporated the fluidity and softness characteristic of *kana*. Furthermore, I aimed for a beautiful work where the "white" space within the characters and the resonance between the lines—the parts where nothing is written—are highlighted.
