　ここ数年、本阿弥光悦の消息のリズム、間合いの妙味などに惹かれ、それらを作品に取り入れようとしてきました。加えて羲之の草書の骨格の確かさと力強さを外さないようにとも念じております。それらを念頭に今年も万葉集を書きました。紙も数種類使いましたが、今回は白めの唐紙となりました。

For the past few years, I have been drawn to the rhythm and exquisite timing (*maiai*) of Hon'ami Kōetsu's letters, and have tried to incorporate them into my work. Additionally, I strive not to lose the certainty and power of Wang Xizhi's cursive script framework. With these in mind, I wrote the *Manyoshu* again this year. I used several types of paper, but this time it was white *karakami* (Chinese-style paper).
