作家のことば

万葉集巻第八「夏の雑歌・相聞」より、短歌三首を題材に、2・8尺横作品として展開しました。作品制作においては、常に深く鋭い筆線、そして多様な表情の筆線を表現することを目指しています。各行の流れや響き合いを大切に、緊張感の中にも何かしらの穏やかさを感じられたらと思い書き込みましたが、まだまだです。

I took three *tanka* poems from *Manyoshu* Volume 8, "Summer Zōka and Sōmon" (Miscellaneous and Mutual Exchange Poems), and developed them into a 2.8-foot horizontal work. In my work, I constantly aim to express deep, sharp brush lines and lines with diverse expressions. I wrote this with the desire to value the flow and resonance of each line, feeling some kind of calmness amidst the tension, but there is still much to be done.
