白樂天詩

作家のことば

白楽天の詩の中から、知人・友人との関わりが感じられる詩を四首選んで書きました。その詩は、閑職ながらも知古を家に呼んで楽しもうとしつつ、やがては官を離れ廬山に草廬を構え清貧を楽しんだという内容です。その詩意に合わせようと、少なめの墨量で、余分な要素を削ぎ、控えめな表現を試みました。

I selected four poems from the poems of Bai Juyi (Hakurakuten) that express his relationships with acquaintances and friends. The poem describes how he, despite his minor official post, called friends over to enjoy himself, and eventually left his post to build a simple hut on Mt. Lu and enjoy a life of peaceful poverty. To match this poetic intention, I used less ink, stripped away superfluous elements, and attempted a restrained expression.
