木版横浜41・観覧車

みなとみらいの観覧車は、姿を海に映し、美しさを倍加させます。非日常性を感じる光景です。
その輝きを二十版の木版画で表現したいと思いました。観覧車の版をすべて摺った後、黒い空を摺り、再度各色の版を摺るなど、多様な技法を用いました。
木版画ならではの味を楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。

Minato Mirai's Ferris wheel doubles its beauty when reflected in the sea—a vista evoking a sense of the extraordinary[cite: 2].
I sought to express that radiance through a 20-block woodblock print[cite: 2]. Using various techniques, I printed all the blocks for the Ferris wheel, then printed the dark sky, and reprinted each color block again[cite: 2].
