作家のことば

私たちが住んでいるこの地球にはあらゆる命が住み続けている。天体の運行が今後も変わることなく永遠に続く限り、私たち人類も命の中で共存をしながら、文化を育んでいくのであろう。
漆は土と陽と水のエネルギーにより作られた樹液であり、それを素材にして漆芸作品が今後とも生まれていくのだろう。私もその一人であり、木を彫り、漆を塗り、金粉を蒔くなどの全ての工程が愛おしい。
今生かされていること、命が作り出す物を使わせていただけることに感謝して、未来へ渡すべくメッセージをこの作品に込めておきたい。
